Peacock
I discovered Peacock at an Auction Centre in Bedford.Not much was known about the vehicle.The engine bay was filled with some strange, non-LR Diesel engine, probably Ford or Perkins.There was no key with the car, last tax disc displayed was about 5 years out.Interesting features: freewheeling hubs, overdrive-unit, Defender front, fat tyres
I did not really expect the engine to be a runner.But, surprise, after charging the battery and operating the ignitionswitch with a screwdriver, the engine started!Turned out to be a 4203 Perkins engine conversionbased on what used to be a 109 6cyl Safari.
